Sanford Meisner
Johan, born 1991 in Münster, Germany as the second child of three, knew from an early age:
Life’s a stage, and his path would lead him unto one. In which way exactly, time would tell.
It all began with Ballet lessons (Heidi Sievert, Jutta Tenbrock, Münster) even before starting school, and would be continued with singing at the prestigious Boys Choir at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Münster. In the following years, the Performing Arts have become a steady companion to Johan. He would take on every´opportunity presenting itself to him in order to gather experience on stage. Dancing, acting, singing, without pause.
A year spent in High School in Salt Lake City, Utah proved to be a defining point in his life. At Rowland Hall St. Mark’s School, artistic productions grew into the a glowing passion. What had begun as a puerile hobby for Ballet, later also for Opera and Musical Theater, started honing in on classic theater and Drama.
After graduation form High School in 2011 and auditioning for several acting schools, Johan took up studies in Theater Science and Arts History at Ruhr Universität Bochum, Germany. While grateful for all he learned here, in 2014 he decided to give precedence to a hands-on career on stage. Since then, he has been working and creating in the business without looking ever back.
In January 2023 Johan’s way led him to relocate to San Francisco, California. While studying the Meisner Technique (Jim Jarrett, 2023-2025) he has starred in lead and supporting roles in films of all genres.
As of Dezember 2025, Johan is back in Germany, settling into a new home base in Nuremberg. Where he is once again looking to channel his energy into his passion for acting, incorporating
Body, Voice and Soul.
